What geographic areas do you serve?

We work in the Flathead Valley from Eureka to Lakeside.

Do you have any special certifications or specialties?

We specialize in all areas of construction, and we are particularly well-equipped to work on large estate projects.

What is your professional background?

I have worked in the construction industry for 30 years. I also have over 15 years experience as a real estate broker and real estate developer.

When did you know that you wanted to go into construction and what motivated you?

I went into construction right out of school. I was fourth generation in construction. I grew up in the business. My family has a company that was formed In 1922 in California.

How do you see construction changing in the next five to 10 years?

I see construction continuing to get better as we progress into 2015. I see a bit more modern style and flare coming into the building industry here in Montana.

What project(s) are you most excited about right now?

We are just wrapping up a very large 4-year project in Whitefish. It’s been a long haul but the rewards have been great. I am excited to see that come to fruition.

Describe your process—how do you work with clients, designers, and architects?

I like to be involved with all aspects of the building process. We usually work hand-in-hand with our designers and architects throughout the project, from start to finish.

What distinguishes good construction from great construction?

The quality of the carpenters and the pride they take in their work is key in great construction. Frontier craftsmen
are exceptional and take pride in their work. They have the highest of standards and that makes all the difference.

What word(s) do people use to describe your work?

Beautiful, custom,high end.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

Meeting new people, interacting with clients and making long-term relationships as we go.

If you weren’t in construction, what would you be doing?

Real estate more than likely.

Do you have a favorite sport or recreational activity, and what do you enjoy about it?

I would have to say fishing. It’s my getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Being out on the water just seems to calm the soul.

What places in the world do you find most inspirational and why?

The Pacific Northwest and Alaska would be my pick. I’ve spent a lot of time in Alaska and British Columbia and those places are just magical.

What’s on the top of your list as a great getaway?

New Zealand.

If you had just one wish today, what would it be?

Health, happiness,and prosperity for my children.

Favorite season? Why?

Fall. I love the colors and hunting season.

Last book you read that you would highly recommend and why?

The Steve Jobs bio. It’s a great book about the brilliant man behind the Apple fortune.
