An inventor from an early age, Sean Henry enjoyed childhood exploring in the Redwood forests and ecology of Northern California. At the age of 20, he earned a position as art director for a major sign manufacturer. Interested in integrating more creative dimension inspired by the natural world, he began experimenting with ideas that incorporated massive water and rock features. His specialty developed into creating unique waterfalls, dynamically placed boulders, streams, natural pools, and fountains through “Imagineering” and collaborating with the visions of his clients. His South Carolina-based company, Lagoons, Ltd., became renowned for some of the biggest and boldest water and landscape design on the East Coast, working on million-dollar projects for a variety of premier clientele.
As an inventor, he has also developed patents in more than 30 countries with work featured on The Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, and sold in numerous stores and online retailers. His inventions are often inspired by a need for a material, device, or contraption that he can use to best deliver the highest quality products. A creative challenge is something Henry enjoys and credits his family’s excellent guidance for much of his ability to transform any seemingly impossible idea into a splendid success.
