Andy Newell, Manager

Pinnacle AV is an emerging company that provides reliable wifi, whole home networking, automation, distributed audio and video, lighting, shades, home theater, video surveillance, and other smart home products. Customer service is a priority and leads the entire process. Pinnacle AV systems are built based on individual customer needs. The company coordinates and assists with installation, trains homeowners to maximize the enjoyment of their systems, and conducts maintenance as needed to keep systems functioning at their best.

Describe your business.
We provide quality AV systems throughout northwest Montana including the Flathead Valley and beyond. We install Control4 Certified systems that have passed rigorous interoperability tests to ensure that they integrate seamlessly for your home automation needs. Control4 is a standard that ensures compatibility and translates to ease of use of any home system. We have 20 years of experience in residential low-voltage systems.

How did you get your start in home AV and automation?
I started working for a family friend wiring Costco warehouses throughout the Northwest and the rest is history. In my early 20s, I started working in the field and saw how home automation that is done right can improve enjoyment and comfort, which makes your entire experience better at home.

“We have a mentality of showing simple courtesies here that sometimes feel long forgotten in our modern age of communication and business.”
–Andy Newell, Manager, Pinnacle AV

What’s your favorite music to play at work?
I listen to all types of music, but my favorite at work is mostly music that I can sing along to. I entertain myself and I’ve found that my singing has varying effects on the people I’m working around. We have fun while we get the job done.

What are your favorite things to watch on television?
I always enjoy watching baseball because I played throughout high school and I was also in amateur leagues in the Seattle area. I primarily pitched when I played, so I still experience the chess match that goes on between the pitcher and batter and feel like I’m inside the game when I have it on. I also like comedy, so a movie like “The Jerk” or a show like “Arrested Development” is always good for a laugh.

What’s your favorite part about living and working in the Flathead Valley?
I enjoy the people here and their willingness to help strangers in need for the sake of strengthening our community. We have a mentality of showing simple courtesies here that sometimes feel long forgotten in our modern age of communication and business. We also very much enjoy all the seasons that you get in the Flathead Valley and getting to meet many different people from different backgrounds as our region continues to grow.
