THAT MAKES YOUR DREAM WORK

Family, loyalty, experience, hard work, and laughter. What other priorities and characteristics could you ask for?

Tim Harland, Kurt Harland, Scott Blackwood, Karin Sieber, and Johnny Tozzi of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services work together as The Team within the brokerage. While individually accomplished, as a single force they combine the selflessness of firefighting with the drive of professional athletes, the insights of financial institutions with the knowledge of construction practices along with the grit of ranchers. The result is an extremely well-rounded and dynamic team of real estate experts who work hard to share the Teton County lifestyle with their clients and community.

In the 1990’s, Tim and his wife were under construction in Wilson Meadows when they suddenly lost their builder. Tim’s big brother, Kurt, came to the rescue. Driving down from the Columbia Gorge, Kurt’s construction experience became invaluable to his brother when he needed his expertise the most. That family project was the start of two decades that Kurt worked as a general contractor in Jackson Hole.

Kurt has since become the Majority Owner of the brokerage and was a past President of the Teton Board of Realtors. Reflecting on his construction expertise, Kurt comments, “My career as a realtor began with the synergy of the building community. Our clients receive the added benefit of an expert in the field who can act as part construction evaluator/part real estate counselor and trusted advocate.”

Tim brings 25 years of community involvement as a volunteer firefighter, past Chamber of Commerce Board Chair, and Rotary Club member, combined with his national sales and marketing experience. Together, the Harland brothers radiate their love of Teton County and the surrounding areas. “Tim does a phenomenal job communicating and sharing Jackson Hole values with people,” Kurt says of his brother. “Be it old-timers or newcomers to the valley, Tim beams with love for his community and what it means to live here.”

Karin Sieber shares her enthusiasm and passion for Jackson Hole by teaching both newcomers and locals top-level ski instruction for the past 22 years as well as training instructors for over a decade. Her love for the mountains continues on horseback with miles and miles of trail riding over the surrounding mountains with her two trusted paint geldings. A mother of two young kids, Karin strives to provide a healthy love for nature and compassion for her local environment. She understands what draws people to the mountain lifestyle and why people want to raise their children in Wyoming so they are connected to the landscape and can pursue a healthier way of life.

The team’s financial expert, Tozzi, has 25 years of financial management experience along with his current role as Wealth Advisor at First Western Trust. He provides his clients with critical intel on current real estate financial potential. Another outdoor enthusiast, Tozzi spends his winters skiing with his family and in the summers biking and hiking in the backcountry.

Blackwood, the company’s Responsible Broker for both Wyoming and Idaho, has a BS in Real Estate Finance from the University of South Carolina. Post graduation, he came for the summer to work at the A-A Guest Ranch in Grand Encampment – now, 11 years later, Blackwood has been a board member for the Teton Board of Realtors (TBOR) and is the 2022 president-elect for that local industry organization.

The entire BHHS team works as trusted and loyal advisors using their local knowledge to the benefit of their clients. Often times, they not only find themselves matching properties with their customers, but matching people with the causes within their community.

“We all need to do our part to give back to the community that we are so fortunate to reside in,” says Kurt Harland. “Whether the commitment is via time, resources or finances, there is a continual need to sustain what is valuable to us as individuals and within the local organizations that are close to our hearts.”
