BEYOND TILE

Remember when the only tile available was sterile and used in areas that we wanted to be sanitary, like hospitals, bathrooms, and subways? Tile’s function far exceeded its aesthetic qualities. Times have changed, and tile is manufactured in many ways to serve several functions. Often you need to feel the surface of an area to know that it is a tile surface. As a result, manufacturers and artists are creating amazing tiles. Inside Out Architecturals strives to share the best tile options available and can help you explore the possibilities for using tile in your favorite spaces.

Representing over 50 unique decorative tile lines, Inside Out Architecturals has a collection of the most intriguing tile options ranging from unique wood parquet and large-format glass to the greatest of traditional flooring and historical ornamentals used for their elegance and resilience throughout the years. Additionally, Inside Out Architecturals offers the handiwork of today’s finest artisans in metal, glass, stone, and dimensional tile that is best described as “art.”

One visit to Inside Out’s showroom will open your eyes to the possibilities. With over 40 years of combined experience in assisting both design professionals and homeowners, the energetic and knowledgeable staff provides each client with details that will make a project sing. “Clients need the opportunity to visualize their decorative tile and its field and location before it is installed. We provide drawings and assistance in tile layout design to ensure our clients love their selections. When a complicated layout is drawn beforehand, we can address questions and finishing details for both client and installer before the installation begins,” explains owner Leah Wynn.

Inside Out Architecturals is a playground where creativity with tile can run wild. Visit the showroom and realize the full artistic possibilities of your project. Share the synergy of those who love what they do and are excited for the unique opportunities each project brings.

2016 TILING TRENDS

MOSAIC IS HOT, HOT, HOT

With the technology of the water jet and its ability to cut intricate shapes, tile companies are now combining wood, ceramic, glass, and stone to create spectacular dimensional mosaics. These are used for full-wall features or fabulous

“pops” of design in tile-worthy areas.

THE POWER OF PRINT

The advances in printing have increased so dramatically that the most wonderfully detailed print can be accomplished on porcelain. As a result, unique designed wood surfaces are capable of duplication as well as many natural stones, and even the flecking in cement. Therefore, we are seeing what appears to be wood in places it has not been used previously. This printing is so extraordinary that we are printing art on tiny tiles to add even more playfulness.

GO BIG OR GO HOME

Bigger is better, right? We see large-format tiles getting larger and larger in all materials—stone, porcelain, and glass. More tile, less grout, and dominant “pops” of color.

YEAR OF THE HEX

We lovingly call this year, “Year of the Hexagon.” Your design with porcelain, stone, glass, and ceramic comes in a variety of sizes, colors, and textures. We are confident there is a hexagon out there for everyone right now. All you have to do is look for the one that works for you.
